The Skylarks were introduced in the late fifties as a direct competitor to the Fender Champ and which its circuitry was also modeled on.

Fully original transformers (110V) with all original electronics.

White Gold in colour and with vary minor wear to the tolex. Slight scuffmarks and wear on the corners.

One Piece Honduran Mahogany Single-Piece Body, Brazilian Rosewood Board, clean Tortoiseshell Guard.

All original P-90 pickup, Pots, Bumblebee Cap. Refretted with New Nut. The winglet on the bass side of the headstock looks to have been repaired at some stage, most likely when the double line Kluson tuners were refitted with new ferrules.

Exceptional sounding Gibson GA-5 Skylark.

Replaced power transformer, new electronics, missing logo, replaced handle. The brown smooth tolex is in great condition, and the chassis is as clean as they come given the age.

This amp has a warm tone that breaks up around 7 on the dial. This model was used extensively by Lenny Kravitz throughout the 90’s and was also responsible for the tone in “Are you Gonna Go My Way”.

All original condition 1963 GA-5 Skylark, which includes all electronics; two prong power cord, handle, tubes and speakers.

Grill cloth in unmarked condition with only two holes in the top right hand corner were the Gibson Logo once appeared.

The chassis shows signs of wear and slight surface rust. The tolex covering is in very good condition with slight chips to the bottom corners.

5-watt amp that runs quietly and breaks up around 6 for that great overdrive sound. 110V model.

Great condition J160-E formerly owned by Midnight Oil guitarist, Martin Rotsey.

One piece Mahogany Neck, Individual Single Line Kluson Tuners, Sunburst Finish, Tortoise Guard, Trapezoid Inlays, Solid Spruce Top and Original Pickup. 1 & 11/16 inches wide at the nut.

Frets are worn. First fret inlay appears to be replaced. Back is crack free. No visible cracks on heavily checked top. D string tuner is slightly bent but works fine.

Changed tuners, changed knobs and truss rod cover. The neck was thinned at some stage. Overspray on neck and body. Fretboard has heavy wear with some minor pitting.
